My Nikkah

My Nikkah profile screen shown on a laptop

Project Overview

A culturally aligned matrimonial website designed for the Middle Eastern market. It bridges the gap between traditional matchmaking and modern technology, focusing on Haya (modesty), Privacy, and Family Involvement.

01. The Challenge

To find a "Life Partner," you need deep data (sect, prayer habits, future living plans). This makes onboarding very long, which usually causes users to quit.
The "Tinder-style" swipe is associated with casual dating. It feels "cheap" for a life-long commitment like Nikkah. Involving a third party (father/brother/mother) can feel "clunky" or intrusive if not handled smoothly in the user journey.

02. The Solutions and Results

Allow a user to "Carbon Copy" a guardian on messages without the guardian being an active "participant" in the chat.
Move away from swiping. Use a "Deep Profile" view where users must scroll through values and bio details before reaching the "Connect" button.
Break the 30+ questions into 5 "chapters" (Deen, Lifestyle, Education, Family, Personality).
Progress Indicators: Use a visual "Profile Strength" meter to show users how their data improves their match quality.
